The Milan Sketch
Every silhouette starts as a hand-drawn last profile in our Milan atelier. Our pattern-makers cut the first shell by hand before a single digital file exists, so the shoe is shaped around a real foot rather than a rendering.
Tuscan Leather Selection
We buy full-grain hides from third-generation vegetable tanneries in the Arno valley. Only the top two grades of each hide reach the cutting table — the rest is returned. That is why our leather creases instead of cracking.
Hand-Lasting
Uppers are stretched over the last by hand and left to set for 72 hours. Machine-lasted sneakers skip this rest period, which is the single biggest reason mass-market uppers lose their shape within a season.
Nitrogen-Foam Midsole
Traditional Italian construction meets modern engineering: our midsoles are nitrogen-infused for a higher energy return per gram, then cemented and stitched so the sole can be resoled rather than binned.
120 Hours of Finishing
Edge burnishing, hand-painted patina, waxed eyelets and a final 40-point inspection. Each pair takes roughly 120 hours of skilled handwork from cut to box.
Why Italian construction outlasts mass production
A cemented factory sneaker is glued in a single pass and cannot be opened again. Our Milanese construction combines cementing with a Blake-adjacent stitch line, so the midsole can be separated and rebuilt. Paired with vegetable-tanned leather and a nitrogen-foam core, the result is a shoe measured in years, not seasons — which is the actual argument for buying Italian in the first place.
